Ferry Ride to Fairy Creek
Theo’s next release will include merch produced on entirely second-hand stock printed with this iconic vintage t-shirt design from the Noise Machine vintage merch archive. Noise Machine has waited for the perfect project to pair this vintage-t with, and here it is. Fairy Creek.
The BC government have committed multiple acts of betrayal and violence through their logging of old growth, their deployment of the RCMP, and the criminalization of activist, and the systemic legal-system battle they engage indigenous land defenders in. The RCMP spent nearly $19 million on enforcement during operations at Fairy Creek. And after 1,100 arrests, and more than 400 charges laid, nearly 20 per cent of the cases were dropped — the result of RCMP failing to properly read the injunction to protestors before arresting them, and indication of the total and complete violent mayhem that took place there. The BC courts continue to entangle activists and land defenders in the legal systems designed to oppress and deny rights of indigenous people.
Portions of $ raised through this release will go to Old Growth Protection and the support of indigenous land defenders.
